इत्येवं ब्रुवतां शब्दः श्रूयते शिवसन्निधौ । स्वकीयं मतमास्थाय ह्यब्रुवंस्ते परस्परम् । तत्त्वज्ञानविहीनास्ते केवलं वेदबुद्धयः
ityevaṃ bruvatāṃ śabdaḥ śrūyate śivasannidhau | svakīyaṃ matamāsthāya hyabruvaṃste parasparam | tattvajñānavihīnāste kevalaṃ vedabuddhayaḥ
ఇలా మాట్లాడుతున్న వారి కలకలం శివసన్నిధిలోనే వినబడింది. తమ తమ అభిప్రాయాన్ని పట్టుకుని వారు పరస్పరం వాదించారు. వారు తత్త్వజ్ఞానం లేనివారు; కేవలం వేదపరమైన బుద్ధి మాత్రమే కలవారు।
