न मालती न मंदारः शतपत्रं न मल्लिका । तथा प्रियाणि श्रीवृक्षो यथा मदनविद्विषः
na mālatī na maṃdāraḥ śatapatraṃ na mallikā | tathā priyāṇi śrīvṛkṣo yathā madanavidviṣaḥ
మాలతి కాదు, మందారము కాదు, శతపత్ర పద్మము కాదు, మల్లికా కాదు—మదనవిద్వేషి శివునికి శ్రీవృక్షము (బిల్వం) ఎంత ప్రియమో అంతగా మరేదీ కాదు.
