ततो यज्ञोपवीतं दद्यात् अनेन मंत्रेण । सूत्रतंतुमयं शुद्धं पवित्रमिदमुत्तमम् । यज्ञोपवीतं देवेश प्रगृहाण नमोऽस्तु ते
tato yajñopavītaṃ dadyāt anena maṃtreṇa | sūtrataṃtumayaṃ śuddhaṃ pavitramidamuttamam | yajñopavītaṃ deveśa pragṛhāṇa namo'stu te
తర్వాత ఈ మంత్రంతో యజ్ఞోపవీతాన్ని సమర్పించాలి—‘శుద్ధమైన సూత్రతంతువులతో చేసిన ఈ ఉత్తమ పవిత్ర యజ్ఞోపవీతం; హే దేవేశా! స్వీకరించు, నీకు నమస్కారం.’
