kaumāre karṇavedhena mātāpitrorvitāḍanaiḥ | akṣarādhyayanādyaiśca duḥkhaṃ syādguruśāsanāt

Translation

కౌమార్యంలో చెవి చీల్చడం వల్ల, తల్లిదండ్రుల శిక్ష వల్ల, అక్షరాభ్యాసం మొదలైన వాటి వల్ల దుఃఖం కలుగుతుంది; గురువు విధించే శాసనంతో కూడా బాధ కలుగుతుంది.
