उत्थाय तारको दैत्यः कदा चिन्नो निहंति चेत् । तं तथा पतितं दृष्ट्वा वसुधामण्डले गुहः
utthāya tārako daityaḥ kadā cinno nihaṃti cet | taṃ tathā patitaṃ dṛṣṭvā vasudhāmaṇḍale guhaḥ
“దైత్యుడు తారకుడు మళ్లీ లేచి నిలబడితే, మనలను సంహరించడా?”—అనే సందేహంతో, భూమిమండలంపై అతడు పడివున్నదాన్ని చూసి గుహ (స్కందుడు) అలా స్పందించాడు.
