प्रत्ययुध्यंतं दैत्येंद्रेः साध्याश्च वसुभिः सह । ततो बहुविधं युद्धं कालनेमिर्विधायच
pratyayudhyaṃtaṃ daityeṃdreḥ sādhyāśca vasubhiḥ saha | tato bahuvidhaṃ yuddhaṃ kālanemirvidhāyaca
దైత్యేంద్రునికి ప్రతిగా సాధ్యులు వసువులతో కలిసి యుద్ధం చేశారు. అప్పుడు కాలనేమి కూడా నానావిధమైన యుద్ధాన్ని, మాయా యుక్తులతో ప్రవర్తింపజేశాడు.
