ब्रह्मोवाच । अलं ते तपसा वत्स मा क्लेशे विस्तरे विश । पुत्रस्ते तारकोनाम भविष्यति महाबलः
brahmovāca | alaṃ te tapasā vatsa mā kleśe vistare viśa | putraste tārakonāma bhaviṣyati mahābalaḥ
బ్రహ్ముడు పలికెను—వత్సా, నీ తపస్సు చాలును; దీర్ఘమైన క్లేశంలో మరింతగా ప్రవేశించకు. ‘తారక’ అనే పేరుతో నీకు మహాబలుడైన కుమారుడు జన్మించును।
