ब्रह्मोवाच । किमर्थं भूय एव त्वं नियमं क्रूरमिच्छसि । आहाराभिमुखो दैत्य तन्मे ब्रूहि महाव्रतः

Transliteration

brahmovāca | kimarthaṃ bhūya eva tvaṃ niyamaṃ krūramicchasi | āhārābhimukho daitya tanme brūhi mahāvrataḥ

Translation

బ్రహ్ముడు పలికెను—నీవు మళ్లీ ఎందుకు క్రూరమైన నియమాన్ని కోరుచున్నావు? హే దైత్యా, ఇప్పుడు ఆహారమునకు మొగ్గుచూపిన నీవు, హే మహావ్రతధరా, అది నాకు చెప్పుము.
