सृष्टिप्रलय संज्ञौ द्वौ ग्लहौ जयपराजयौ । देवीजये भवेत्सृष्टिरसृष्टिर्धूर्जटेर्जये
sṛṣṭipralaya saṃjñau dvau glahau jayaparājayau | devījaye bhavetsṛṣṭirasṛṣṭirdhūrjaṭerjaye
‘సృష్టి’ ‘ప్రళయం’ అనే రెండు పందాలు జయ–పరాజయాలే. దేవి జయిస్తే సృష్టి ఉద్భవిస్తుంది; ధూర్జటి (శివుడు) జయిస్తే అసృష్టి—సంహార-ప్రత్యాహారం జరుగుతుంది.
