निवासं कृतवाञ्शंभुस्तस्मिन्स्थाने यतः स्वयम् । निवासेश इति ख्यातं लिंगं तत्र परं ततः
nivāsaṃ kṛtavāñśaṃbhustasminsthāne yataḥ svayam | nivāseśa iti khyātaṃ liṃgaṃ tatra paraṃ tataḥ
ఆ స్థలంలో స్వయంగా శంభువు నివాసం చేసుకున్నందున, అక్కడి పరమ లింగం ‘నివాసేశ’ అనే నామంతో ప్రసిద్ధి చెందింది।
