मधुस्रवेति प्रथममेषा पुष्करिणी स्मृता । कृतकृत्या ततो ज्ञेया ततोऽसौ क्षीरनीरधिः
madhusraveti prathamameṣā puṣkariṇī smṛtā | kṛtakṛtyā tato jñeyā tato'sau kṣīranīradhiḥ
ఈ పవిత్ర పుష్కరిణి మొదట ‘మధుస్రవా’ (తేనె ప్రవాహముగలది) అని స్మరింపబడుతుంది. తరువాత ‘కృతకృత్యా’ (సర్వ లక్ష్యములను సిద్ధిచేయునది) అని తెలిసికొనవలెను. ఆపై ఇది ‘క్షీరనీరధి’—పాలవంటి జలములతో సముద్రమువలె ఉన్న కుండమని పిలువబడుతుంది।
