स्कंद उवाच । वृद्धादित्यस्य माहात्म्यं शृणु ते कथयाम्यहम् । यस्य श्रवणमात्रेण नरो नो दुष्कृतं भजेत्
skaṃda uvāca | vṛddhādityasya māhātmyaṃ śṛṇu te kathayāmyaham | yasya śravaṇamātreṇa naro no duṣkṛtaṃ bhajet
స్కందుడు పలికెను—వృద్ధాదిత్య మహాత్మ్యాన్ని వినుము; నేను నీకు వివరిస్తాను. దాని శ్రవణమాత్రంతోనే మనిషి పాపకర్మలలో పడడు.
