Transliteration

gāyatrī vedajananī gāyatrī brāhmaṇaprasūḥ | gātāraṃ trāyate yasmādgāyatrī tena gīyate

Translation

గాయత్రీ వేదమాత; గాయత్రీ బ్రాహ్మణప్రసూతి. గాతా (జపకుడు/పఠకుడు)ను ఆమె రక్షించునందున ఆమె ‘గాయత్రీ’ అని కీర్తింపబడుతుంది.
