anupoṣya trirātrāṇi tīrthānyanabhigamya ca | adattvā kāṃcanaṃ gāśca daridro nāma jāyate

Translation

మూడు రాత్రులు ఉపవాసం చేయక, తీర్థాలను దర్శించక, బంగారం మరియు గోవులను దానం చేయనివాడు ‘దరిద్రుడు’ (పుణ్యహీనుడు) అని పిలువబడును.
