वेपमानो महाव्याधिभयात्सांबोपि दारुणात् । कृष्णं प्रसादयामास बहुशः पापशांतये

ఆ భయంకర మహావ్యాధి భయంతో వణుకుతూ సాంబుడు కూడా తన పాపశాంతి కోసం ఎన్నోసార్లు శ్రీకృష్ణుని ప్రసన్నం చేయుటకు ప్రయత్నించాడు।
