स्नात्वा गंगामृते शुद्धे तप एतदिहोत्तमम् । सत्कृत्य भिक्षवे भिक्षा यत्काश्यां परिदीयते । तुला पुरुष एतस्याः कलां नार्हति षोडशीम्
snātvā gaṃgāmṛte śuddhe tapa etadihottamam | satkṛtya bhikṣave bhikṣā yatkāśyāṃ paridīyate | tulā puruṣa etasyāḥ kalāṃ nārhati ṣoḍaśīm
శుద్ధమైన అమృతస్వరూప గంగలో స్నానం చేసి, ఇక్కడి ఉత్తమ తపస్సు ఇదే—భిక్షువును సత్కరించి కాశీలో భిక్షాదానం చేయుట। ‘తులాపురుష’ పుణ్యమూ దీని పదహారవ భాగానికీ సమానం కాదు।
