कृशः प्रलंबः स्फुटितो रूक्षो दौर्भाग्यसूचकः । श्यावः स्थूलोऽधरोष्ठः स्याद्वैधव्य कलहप्रदः
kṛśaḥ pralaṃbaḥ sphuṭito rūkṣo daurbhāgyasūcakaḥ | śyāvaḥ sthūlo'dharoṣṭhaḥ syādvaidhavya kalahapradaḥ
అధరోష్ఠం కృశంగా, అతిగా పొడవుగా, పగిలి, రూక్షంగా ఉంటే అది దౌర్భాగ్య సూచకమని చెబుతారు. అలాగే శ్యామవర్ణంతో స్థూలమైన అధరోష్ఠం వైధవ్యాన్ని, కలహాన్ని కలిగించేదని అంటారు।
