शुभः कमठपृष्ठाभो गजस्कंधोपमो भगः । वामोन्नतस्तु कन्याजः पुत्रजो दक्षिणोन्नतः
śubhaḥ kamaṭhapṛṣṭhābho gajaskaṃdhopamo bhagaḥ | vāmonnatastu kanyājaḥ putrajo dakṣiṇonnataḥ
శుభ (మంగళ) భగము కచ్ఛపపు వెన్ను లేదా గజస్కంధమువలె ఉండునని చెప్పబడింది. ఎడమవైపు ఎక్కువగా ఉన్నతమైతే కన్యాప్రదం; కుడివైపు ఎక్కువగా ఉన్నతమైతే పుత్రప్రదం అని అన్నారు।
