Skanda Purana — Kashi Khanda, Shloka 3

एषां क्रियानिषेकादि श्मशानांता च वैदिकी । आदधीत सुधीर्गर्भमृतौमूलं मघां त्यजेत्

Transliteration

eṣāṃ kriyāniṣekādi śmaśānāṃtā ca vaidikī | ādadhīta sudhīrgarbhamṛtaumūlaṃ maghāṃ tyajet

Translation

ఈ ద్విజుల వైదిక సంస్కారాలు గర్భాధానాది నుండి ప్రారంభమై శ్మశానాంత్యక్రియల వరకు వ్యాపిస్తాయి. జ్ఞాని వాటిని విధివిధానంగా ఆచరించి, ఋతు/గర్భకాల మూలంలో మఘా నక్షత్రాన్ని వర్జించాలి.
