brahmalokastu lokānāṃ sarveṣāmuttamo yathā | saritāṃ sarasāṃ vāpi variṣṭhā jāhnavī tathā

సర్వ లోకాలలో బ్రహ్మలోకము యథా ఉత్తమమో, అలాగే నదులలోను సరస్సులలోను జాహ్నవీ గంగా సర్వశ్రేష్ఠగా నిలుచును।
