शिवशर्मोवाच । सत्यलोकेश्वर विधे सर्वेषां प्रपितामह । किंचिद्विज्ञप्तुकामोस्मि न भयाद्वक्तुमुत्सहे

శివశర్ముడు పలికెను—హే సత్యలోకేశ్వర విధాత బ్రహ్మా, సమస్త జీవుల ప్రపితామహా! నాకు కొంత వినతిపెట్టాలనుంది; కాని భయముచేత చెప్పుటకు ధైర్యం చేయలేకున్నాను।
