न खल्वयमृतोंऽडस्थ इति स्नेहादभाषत । तदा प्रभृति लोकेयं मार्तंड इति चोच्यते
na khalvayamṛtoṃ'ḍastha iti snehādabhāṣata | tadā prabhṛti lokeyaṃ mārtaṃḍa iti cocyate
స్నేహవశాత్ ఆమె చెప్పింది—“అండంలో ఉన్న ఇతడు నిశ్చయంగా మృతుడు కాదు.” అప్పటినుంచి ఈ లోకంలో అతడు ‘మార్తండ’ అని ప్రసిద్ధి పొందాడు.
