hitopadeṣṭā hitakṛdahitātyahitaḥ sadā | rūpavāñchīlasaṃpanno guṇavāndeśakālavit

అతడు హితాన్ని బోధించేవాడు, హితకార్యాలు చేసేవాడు, అహితానికి ఎల్లప్పుడూ దూరంగా ఉండేవాడు. రూపవంతుడు, శీలసంపన్నుడు, గుణవంతుడు, దేశకాలవివేకి—ఆదర్శపురుషుడు.
