atyaṃtaṃ khedakhinnaḥ sanvṛthākṛtapariśramaḥ | uvāca rāmaṃ dharmajñaṃ hanūmānaṃjanātmajaḥ
Sūta (narration continues)
Tirtha: Setukṣetra / Rāmeśvara
Type: kshetra
Listener: assembly of sages (frame)
Scene: Hanūmān, shoulders slightly lowered, face strained with grief, approaches Rāma respectfully; Rāma stands calm, receptive, embodying dharma-jñāna; sages watch quietly, sensing the emotional shift.
When devotion feels unrewarded, one should still approach dharma (embodied here by Rāma) for clarity rather than abandon faith.
The Setu–Rāmeśvaram context frames the episode, linking personal emotion to a tīrtha’s sacred history.
No explicit ritual is prescribed; the verse sets up a dharmic dialogue following the Liṅga episode.
