ब्रह्महत्याव्रतं चीर्णं तदर्थं च मया धुना । एवमुक्तोपि राजासौ वचसा स परावसोः

Transliteration

brahmahatyāvrataṃ cīrṇaṃ tadarthaṃ ca mayā dhunā | evamuktopi rājāsau vacasā sa parāvasoḥ

Translation

ఆ కారణం కోసమే నేను ఇప్పుడు బ్రహ్మహత్యా-ప్రాయశ్చిత్త వ్రతాన్ని ఆచరించాను. ఇలా చెప్పబడినప్పటికీ, పరావసు వచనాల వల్ల ఆ రాజు (తన నిర్ణయంలో) అచలంగా నిలిచాడు.
