śiva uvāca | svaṃ mahāstrammayā dattandurjayastvambhaviṣyati | anena sarvaśatrūṇāṃ jayakṛtyamavāpnuhi
Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahadeva
The verse highlights Śiva’s anugraha (grace): true invincibility arises when the Lord empowers the seeker to overcome opposition—externally and, more importantly, the inner enemies like fear, anger, and delusion.
As Saguna Śiva, the compassionate Lord actively protects and equips His devotee. Linga-worship expresses surrender to Śiva as Pati (the Lord), through which His protective śakti manifests as ‘victory’ over बाधा (obstacles).
A practical takeaway is japa with the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with bhakti and śaraṇāgati (surrender), treating the mantra as Śiva’s ‘astra’ for conquering inner negativity; optionally supported by Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and Rudrākṣa as Shaiva sādhana.
