Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Sthala Purana: No direct Jyotirliṅga episode; the key Śaiva marker is ‘harāṃśajaḥ’—Hanūmān as an emanation of Hara—signaling Śiva’s grace operating through a devotee-agent.
Significance: Highlights the Siddhāntic idea that the Lord’s anugraha often manifests via guru/ministerial guidance (upadeśa, hitopadeśa) that restores dharma and welfare.
Role: teaching
The verse teaches that Śiva’s grace can manifest as guiding intelligence and right counsel: an amśa of Hara supports dharma by securing the welfare of a righteous ally, showing that divine help often comes through wisdom and service.
By calling the helper “harāṃśajaḥ,” the text emphasizes Saguna Śiva’s active compassion—Śiva not only receives worship in the Liṅga but also protects devotees through embodied agencies who restore order and well-being.
The practical takeaway is seva with mantra: while chanting the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”), cultivate sudhī (clear discernment) and use speech and counsel for others’ welfare—an inner form of Śiva-pūjā aligned with dharma.
