Suta Goswami (traditional Purāṇic colophon framing, narrated to the sages of Naimiṣāraṇya)
This is a colophon marking the completion of the chapter on Śiva-stuti, emphasizing that devoted praise of Pati (Lord Shiva) is a recognized purāṇic means for purification, grace, and liberation.
By naming the chapter “Śivastuti-varṇana,” it frames worship primarily through devotional hymn—commonly offered to Saguna Shiva (including Linga worship)—as an accessible doorway to realizing Shiva’s highest, transcendent nature.
The practical takeaway is regular recitation or hearing of Shiva-stuti with bhakti—often paired with Panchakshara japa (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and simple Linga-pūjā as aligned practices.
