Bāṇāsura’s Wrathful Command and the Onset of Battle at the Inner Palace
mocayitvā niruddhaṃ tu tataścāṃtaḥpuraṃ tataḥ | praveśayitvā durgā tu tatraivādarśanaṃ gatā

Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Umāpati
Shakti Form: Durgā
Role: liberating
Offering: dipa
It highlights divine grace acting swiftly and silently—Durgā protects dharma, removes bondage, and then withdraws, showing that the Divine can operate beyond ordinary visibility while still guiding events toward auspicious ends.
Though the verse names Durgā, it reflects the Shaiva understanding of Saguna divine agency: the Lord’s śakti safeguards devotees and restores order, encouraging reliance on Shiva with śakti as His inseparable power.
A practical takeaway is śaraṇāgati (taking refuge) supported by japa of the Pañcākṣarī—“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—along with simple protective devotion to Śiva-Śakti, especially during fear or instability.
