त्रिपुरवर्णनम् (Tripura-varṇanam) — “Description of Tripura”

संपीडनाय जगतो यदि स क्रियते तपः । सफलं तद्गतं वेद्यं तस्मात्सुविहितं तपः

Transliteration

saṃpīḍanāya jagato yadi sa kriyate tapaḥ | saphalaṃ tadgataṃ vedyaṃ tasmātsuvihitaṃ tapaḥ

Translation

లోకాన్ని పీడించడానికి తపస్సు చేయబడితే, దాని ‘ఫలం’ కూడా ఆ విధ్వంసక ఉద్దేశంలోనే ఉన్నదని గ్రహించాలి; అందుకే నిజమైన తపస్సు శివాజ్ఞకు అనుగుణంగా ధార్మికంగా, సువ్యవస్థితంగా చేయాలి।
