ते सहस्रं तु वर्षाणां वातभक्षास्सुदारुणाः । तपस्तेपुर्दुरात्मानः परं तापमुपागताः

Transliteration

te sahasraṃ tu varṣāṇāṃ vātabhakṣāssudāruṇāḥ | tapastepurdurātmānaḥ paraṃ tāpamupāgatāḥ

Translation

వారు అత్యంత భయంకరులు, కేవలం వాయువే ఆహారంగా చేసుకొని వెయ్యి సంవత్సరాలు తపస్సు చేశారు; కాని దుర్బుద్ధితో తమ తపఫలంగా పరమ దాహయాతనకు లోనయ్యారు.
