देव-गण-समरः

Devas and Śiva’s Gaṇas Engage in Battle

अनेन प्रार्थितः पूर्वं यज्ञार्थं च पुनः पुनः । दक्षेणाविदितार्थेन कर्मनिष्ठेन मौढ्यतः

anena prārthitaḥ pūrvaṃ yajñārthaṃ ca punaḥ punaḥ | dakṣeṇāviditārthena karmaniṣṭhena mauḍhyataḥ

పూర్వం దక్షుడు—తత్త్వార్థం తెలియక, కర్మకాండలో దృఢనిష్ఠుడై—మోహవశంగా యజ్ఞార్థం కోసం మళ్లీ మళ్లీ ఆయనను (శివుని) ప్రార్థించాడు।
