atha dakṣaḥ prasannātmā svayaṃ sarveśvaraṃ haram | samānarca vidhānena dattvāsanamanuttamam

It highlights that inner clarity (prasannātmā) and disciplined, reverent worship (vidhi) are essential for approaching Sarveśvara Shiva, emphasizing humility and right attitude as the foundation of grace.
The verse reflects Saguna-upāsanā—honouring Shiva through formal worship and offerings like āsana; in practice this aligns with Linga-pūjā where the devotee ritually invites and seats the Lord with proper procedure.
Perform Shiva-pūjā according to prescribed vidhi—begin with mental composure, invoke Shiva, and offer an āsana (seat of honour); accompany the worship with mantra-japa such as the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) where appropriate.
