The Devas (gods)
Tattva Level: pashu
Mantra: जगदम्ब महादेवि सर्वसिद्धिविधायिनि । देवकार्यकरी त्वं हि सदातस्त्वां नमामहे
Type: stotra
Shakti Form: Mahādevī
Role: liberating
It proclaims Devi (Pārvatī/Jagadambā) as the divine power whose grace grants siddhi and supports cosmic order; in a Shaiva Siddhanta sense, her śakti operates in harmony with Śiva as Pati, and surrender (namāmahe) becomes the doorway to auspiciousness and spiritual attainment.
The verse highlights Saguna devotion: honoring the Mother as Śiva’s inseparable śakti complements Liṅga worship, where Śiva is revered with his manifest power; devotion to the Liṅga naturally includes reverence to Pārvatī as the enabling divine energy of grace and accomplishment.
The direct practice is continual namaskāra and bhakti—regular salutations and prayer to Śiva-Pārvatī; one may pair this with japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and simple daily worship emphasizing humility and surrender.
