Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Umāpati
Sthala Purana: No Jyotirliṅga reference; a dharma-śāstric teaching embedded in Purāṇic narration, aligning gṛhastha-āśrama stability with Śiva-ordained order.
Significance: Encourages householders to see gṛhastha-dharma as a legitimate Śaiva path when anchored in fidelity, dharma, and progeny/lineage responsibilities.
Shakti Form: Umā
Role: nurturing
It presents gṛhastha-dharma as a sacred support for spiritual life: the wife is described as the stabilizing basis through whom dharma is practiced, happiness is sustained, and family duties are fulfilled—enabling steady progress toward Shiva’s grace.
In the Pārvatīkhaṇḍa, Shiva and Parvati embody the ideal of sacred household harmony; honoring them as Saguna Shiva-Shakti supports dharmic living, and such ordered life becomes a fit ground for disciplined Linga worship and devotion.
It implies strengthening household dharma through regular Shiva-Parvati pūjā—such as daily recitation of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with a calm, harmonious home discipline—though no specific item like bhasma or rudrākṣa is explicitly stated in this verse.
