Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Sthala Purana: No direct Jyotirliṅga linkage; the verse emphasizes Śiva’s dharma-conform conduct—completing laukika and vaidika karmas—and His honoring of dvijas, modeling ideal ritual propriety.
Significance: Teaches that Śiva, though supreme, upholds dharma and honors Vedic custodians; for devotees, reverence to brāhmaṇas/ācāryas and correct performance of rites becomes a conduit for Śiva’s grace.
It presents Śiva as the perfect exemplar of dharma: even as the Supreme Pati, He honors scriptural order and the custodians of Vedic discipline, teaching that true greatness expresses itself as humility and reverence.
Saguna Śiva is worshiped through prescribed observances—Vedic and customary. The verse supports disciplined, rule-aligned pūjā (vidhi) alongside heartfelt devotion, showing worship as both inner bhakti and outer right conduct.
Perform Shiva worship according to proper vidhi—maintaining purity, mantra-japa (especially the Panchākṣarī), and respectful honoring of learned devotees/priests—so that ritual and devotion mature together.
