देवस्तुतिः (Deva-stuti) — “Hymn of the Devas / Divine Praise”
सर्वस्य भवतश्चापि स्युस्सर्वे ते वशास्सुराः
sarvasya bhavataścāpi syussarve te vaśāssurāḥ
మీరు సమస్తానికి ప్రభువు; అందువల్ల ఆ దేవతలందరూ మీ వశంలోనే ఉంటారు।
Sūta Gosvāmin (narrating the Rudra-saṃhitā account to the sages, conveying the purport of the dialogue in Pārvatīkhaṇḍa)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Īśāna
Sthala Purana: No Jyotirliṅga linkage; the line asserts universal lordship—devas remain ‘under control’ of the supreme, aligning with Śiva’s īśvaratva over all gods.
Significance: Reinforces Śiva’s paratva (supremacy) and the devotee’s confidence in divine governance; supports śaraṇāgati and fearlessness.
It affirms Shiva as Pati—the supreme Lord of all beings and even the devas—indicating that true refuge and final authority rest in Shiva, not in limited celestial powers.
By declaring Shiva’s sovereignty over the gods, it supports Saguna worship of Shiva through the Linga as the manifest focus of the Supreme who governs all cosmic functions performed by the devas.
Practice surrender (śaraṇāgati) to Shiva with japa of the Pañcākṣarī—“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—and, if following Shaiva ritual, support it with Tripuṇḍra bhasma and Rudrākṣa as reminders of living under Shiva’s lordship.
