पार्वतीवाक्यं—शिवस्य परब्रह्मत्व-निरूपणम्
Pārvatī’s Discourse: Establishing Śiva as Parabrahman
त्वया निंदा कृता यात्र हरस्यामित तेजसः । त्वत्पूजा च कृता यन्मे तस्मात्पापम्भजाम्यहम्
tvayā niṃdā kṛtā yātra harasyāmita tejasaḥ | tvatpūjā ca kṛtā yanme tasmātpāpambhajāmyaham
నీవు అక్కడ అపార తేజస్సుగల హరుని నిందించావు; అలాగే నీవు నన్ను కూడా పూజించావు—అందువల్ల ఆ పాపాన్ని నేను స్వీకరిస్తాను।
Lord Shiva (Hara), speaking in a conciliatory, dharma-protecting tone within the Pārvatīkhaṇḍa narrative
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Significance: Models Śiva’s grace: the Lord absorbs the devotee’s demerit arising from inadvertent offense, encouraging repentance and renewed devotion.
Role: liberating
It highlights Shiva’s role as Pati—the compassionate Lord who can absorb and neutralize the devotee’s demerit when devotion is present, teaching repentance, humility, and reliance on Shiva’s grace.
It emphasizes that sincere Saguna worship of Shiva (including Linga worship) has purifying power; even when faults like Shiva-nindā occur, turning to Shiva with devotion and surrender restores dharmic alignment through his anugraha (grace).
Practice prāyaścitta through Shiva-bhakti: japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), offering bilva leaves and water to the Linga, and applying tripuṇḍra (bhasma) with a repentant mind to avoid and heal Shiva-aparādha.
