पार्वत्याः तपः-परीक्षा (Śiva Tests Pārvatī’s Austerity)

पार्वत्युवाच । नाहं वेदप्रसूर्विप्र न लक्ष्मीश्च सरस्वती । अहं हिमाचलसुता सांप्रतं नाम पार्वती

పార్వతి పలికెను—హే విప్రా, నేను వేదప్రసూతిని కాదు, లక్ష్మిని కాదు, సరస్వతిని కూడా కాదు. నేను హిమాచలుని కుమార్తెను; ప్రస్తుతం నా నామం పార్వతి.
