गिरिजातपः-परीक्षा तथा सप्तर्षि-आह्वानम्

Girijā’s Austerity-Test and the Summoning of the Seven Sages

ब्रह्मोवाच । इत्युक्ता सा शिवा देवी गिरींद्रतनया द्विजैः । प्रत्युवाच वचस्सत्यं सुगूढमपि तत्पुरः

brahmovāca | ityuktā sā śivā devī girīṃdratanayā dvijaiḥ | pratyuvāca vacassatyaṃ sugūḍhamapi tatpuraḥ

బ్రహ్ముడు పలికెను—ద్విజ మునులు ఇలా సంభోదించగా, గిరిరాజకన్య అయిన శివా దేవి వారి సమక్షంలో సత్యవాక్యములను పలికెను; అయితే దాని భావము అత్యంత గూఢమైనది.
