Sūta Gosvāmin (narrating to the sages of Naimiṣāraṇya)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Type: stotra
Offering: pushpa
It depicts the cosmos responding to a sacred, Shiva-aligned event: divine music, dance, and flower-rain symbolize heavenly assent and the auspiciousness that arises when dharma and devotion to Pati (Śiva) are upheld.
The verse reflects Saguna devotion—Śiva’s grace and divine presence are celebrated through sensory offerings and praise (gīta, nṛtya, puṣpa). Such motifs parallel Linga-worship where flowers, sound (mantra), and heartfelt bhakti become vehicles of communion with Śiva.
Offer flowers and perform nāma-japa—especially the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—with devotional singing; in temple or home pūjā, accompany it with simple stotra-gāna and mental visualization of auspicious “puṣpavarṣa” as Śiva’s grace.
