Cosmic Event: Culmination of Brahmā–Viṣṇu disputation motif (doctrinal resolution)
It teaches that when opposing viewpoints and limited concepts are resolved, the seeker recognizes the supreme reality as Mahādeva—Shiva as nirguṇa, beyond all qualities and mental constructions, the final ground of liberation.
In the Kotirudra (Jyotirlinga) setting, the linga and Shiva’s saguna forms function as compassionate revelations that guide devotion and concentration; their deeper purpose is to lead the devotee to the nirguṇa Mahādeva indicated by those sacred manifestations.
Meditate on Shiva as Mahādeva beyond attributes while performing linga-pūjā—japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with steady inner recollection that the worshipped form points to the nirguṇa truth.
