Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Significance: Continuous jaladhārā (abhiṣeka) is highlighted as sustaining sacred presence and purifying residual offerings—symbolically ‘washing’ pāśa and stabilizing the mind in one-pointedness.
Role: nurturing
It teaches that devotion must be joined with purity and order: offerings are made with reverence, then the Linga is cleansed by flowing water, symbolizing inner purification and surrender to Pati (Shiva) through disciplined worship.
It describes a concrete step of Saguna Shiva worship—jaladhārā (continuous abhisheka) after offering dravya—showing that the Linga is honored as Shiva’s manifest presence, approached through careful ritual that refines the devotee’s mind toward Shiva-consciousness.
Perform Linga abhisheka with a steady stream of water, then gently rinse away remaining offerings with water; inwardly, maintain a continuous flow of remembrance (japa), such as Om Namaḥ Śivāya, matching the unbroken jaladhārā with unbroken devotion.
