गौतमविघ्नप्रकरणम्
Episode of Obstacles to Gautama; Gaṇeśa’s Appearing Through Misguided Worship
आविर्बभूव च तदा प्रसन्नो हि गणेश्वरः । उवाच वचनं तत्र भक्ताधीनः फलप्रदः
āvirbabhūva ca tadā prasanno hi gaṇeśvaraḥ | uvāca vacanaṃ tatra bhaktādhīnaḥ phalapradaḥ

It highlights a core Shaiva theme: divine grace becomes manifest when devotion ripens—Gaṇeśa appears “pleased” and, being bhaktādhīna (responsive to bhakti), grants fitting results to the seeker.
In Kotirudrasaṃhitā’s pilgrimage-oriented narrative, Saguna worship (form-based devotion) is affirmed: deities connected to Shiva’s sphere respond tangibly to sincere worship, supporting the devotee’s approach to the Jyotirliṅga and Shiva’s grace.
The verse implies bhakti-driven worship that culminates in phala (results): steady japa (especially of Shiva mantras), prayerful offering, and disciplined vrata with humility—practices often paired with bhasma, rudrākṣa, and temple darśana in Shiva Purana tradition.
