सम्मार्ज्य वेदीमालिप्य कृत्वा पुण्याहवाचनम् । प्रोक्ष्य पश्चिममारभ्य पूर्वान्तम्पञ्च च क्रमात्
sammārjya vedīmālipya kṛtvā puṇyāhavācanam | prokṣya paścimamārabhya pūrvāntampañca ca kramāt
వేదిని శుభ్రపరచి లేపనం చేసి, పుణ్యాహవాచనం నిర్వహించిన తరువాత, పశ్చిమం నుండి ప్రారంభించి ఐదు క్రమాలు/దిశల ప్రకారం విధిగా ప్రోక్షణ చేసి తూర్పు అంతం వరకు చేయాలి.
