ఇంద్రుని వేగంగా ఆహ్వానించి కణ్వుల స్తోత్రం, సోమపీడన స్థలానికి రప్పించడం—హరి అశ్వాలు, రథగతి వంటి యుద్ధోన్ముఖ వేగంతో ఆయన చేరి హవిస్సును స్వీకరించి యజ్ఞాన్ని బలపరచునట్లు. గ్రావా (పీడనశిల) యొక్క ఘోష, పీడన-గానాల ధ్వని స్వయంగా ఆహ్వానమై ఇంద్రుని సమీపింపజేస్తుంది. శాస్త్రానుసారంగా (శాసతః) విధిగా నిర్వహించే యజమాని/ఋత్విజునకు ఇంద్రుడు ప్రసన్నుడై యజ్ఞఫలంగా ‘దివం’—స్వర్గలోకప్రాప్తిని ప్రసాదించునని ఈ దశతి సారాంశం.

హే ఇంద్రా, హరి (హరిత అశ్వాలు)తో రా; కణ్వుని సు-ష్టుతి (ఉత్తమ స్తోత్రం) సమీపమునకు రా. విధిగా శాసత (అనుష్ఠానం) చేయు ఉపాసకునికై—హే దివావసు (దివ్య దానదాత)—నీవు స్వర్గమునకు గమించుము.

अत्रा वि नेमिरेषामुरां न धूनुते वृकः दिवो अमुष्य शासतो दिवं यय दिवावसो
ఇక్కడ (నీ రథపు) నేమి-చక్రం స్పష్టమవుతుంది; తోడేలులా అది విస్తారమైన ప్రాంతాన్ని కుదిపేస్తుంది. విధిపూర్వకంగా యజ్ఞం చేసే యజమాని కోసం—హే దివ్యదానదాత (దివావసో)—నీవు స్వర్గాన్ని ప్రసాదిస్తూ స్వర్గానికి గమించు.
