महत्तत्सोमो महिषश्चकारापां यद्गर्भो ऽवृणीत देवान् अदधादिन्द्रे पवमान ओजो ऽजनयत्सूर्ये ज्योतिरिन्दुः

మహత్తరమైనది ఆ కార్యం—సోముడు, మహిషుడు (మహాబలుడు) చేసినది. ‘అపాం గర్భ’ (జలగర్భం) దేవులను వరిచింది; పవమానుడై ఆయన ఇంద్రునిలో ఓజస్సు (బలం) స్థాపించాడు; ప్రకాశమయ ఇందు-బిందువు సూర్యునిలో జ్యోతిని జనింపజేసింది.
