{ "prastava": "(stobha-led auspicious prelude) e.g., ‘hā’/‘o’ expansions before the first pada in gāna practice", "udgitha": "Core text emphasizing ‘bhadro no agniḥ…’ with elongation on ‘bhadrā’ units", "pratihara": "Responsive return on ‘bhadro adhvaraḥ…’ stabilizing the cadence", "upadrava": "Reassertion of auspiciousness on ‘bhadrā uta praśastayaḥ’", "nidhana": "Short closing formula (often vowel prolongation) sealing the chant", "structure_notes": "Because the verse is semantically repetitive, Sāmavedic rendering typically distributes ‘bhadra’ as melodic pillars across sections, allowing clear prastāva/udgītha demarcation even without many lexical changes.", "singer_assignments": "Prastotṛ: prastāva; Udgātṛ: udgītha+upadrava; Pratihartṛ: pratihāra; all: nidhana." }

{ "gloss_summary": "‘bhadra’ = śiva/maṅgala (ritually propitious). Agni when invoked is auspicious; the rāti (gift/oblation) is auspicious; the adhvara (rite) is auspicious; and the praśastayaḥ (regulated praises/stotra-śastra) are auspicious.", "ritual_interpretation": "Correctly performed stotras/śastras and faultless procedure ensure the adhvara’s success and avert inauspiciousness.", "theological_insight": "Auspiciousness is not mere luck but the dhārmic order of sacrifice—sound, act, and intention aligned with Agni as divine priest.", "etymology_highlights": "adhvara as the well-ordered rite; praśastayaḥ as ‘well-praised/regulated’ utterances whose correctness is efficacious." }
