विप्रासो न मन्मभिः स्वाध्यो देवाव्यो न यज्ञैः स्वप्नसः । राजानो न चित्राः सुसंदृशः क्षितीनां न मर्या अरेपसः ॥

Transliteration

viprā́so na mánma-bhiḥ svādhyò devā́vyo na yajñáiḥ svápnasaḥ | rājā́no na citrā́ḥ su-sandṛ́śaḥ kṣitīnā́ṃ na maryā́ arepásaḥ ||

Translation

ఋషులవలె తమ ప్రేరిత మనోభావాలు/మంత్ర-రచనలతో, యజ్ఞాల ద్వారా దేవులను గెలుచుకునేవారివలె వారు స్వకర్మంలో (స్వాధ్య) సిద్ధులు. రాజులవలె వారు విచిత్ర వైభవంతో ప్రకాశించి చూడటానికి సుందరులు; ప్రజల మధ్య ఉన్నత మర్యులవలె వారు కలంకరహితులు, అరేపస్ (దోషరహితులు).
