Sukta 10.40
युवां मृगेव वारणा मृगण्यवो दोषा वस्तोर्हविषा नि ह्वयामहे । युवं होत्रामृतुथा जुह्वते नरेषं जनाय वहथः शुभस्पती ॥
yuvā́ṃ mṛgéva vāraṇā́ mṛgaṇyávo doṣā́ vástoḥ havíṣā ní hvayāmahe | yuváṃ hotrā́m ṛtuthā́ juhváte naréṣaṃ jánāya vahathaḥ śubhaspatī ||
మీరు ఇద్దరూ, అడవిమృగాన్ని వెదకే వేటగాళ్లవలె, రాత్రి మరియు ఉషస్సమయంలో హవిసుతో మేము పిలుస్తాము. హే శుభస్పతులారా, ఋతువుకు అనుగుణంగా, విధిక్రమంగా, హోతృ జుహూతో ఆహుతి సమర్పించినప్పుడు, ‘నరేష’—నరబలం, వీరసారం—ను ప్రజల వద్దకు మీరు మోసుకువెళ్తారు.
